Activities at Villa Surf Garden in Falkenberg
Here at Villa Surf Garden there are a lot of fun activities you can do. Kitesurfing of course comes out on top if we have to decide, but it’s also super fun to try a SUP-adventure or maybe come here for a small yoga retreat with your friends and family. And if you’re into biking, you have to come and try our fatbikes.
HIKE
If the ocean is our front yard, then the forest is our back yard. You have endless tracks and trails nearby and there is a variety of terrain. Bring the lunch with you and make it into a hiking day. Start at the ocean and maybe go for a swim, venture into the forest, climb a lookout post or run through the beautiful fields. You know about “Allemansrätten”, right? It more or less says that everyone has the right to explore Sweden’s nature.
WAKEBOARDING
When there’s no wind on the forecast, and we still want to go out on the water making big airs and handle passes we go wakeboarding. Halmstad Wake Park is nestled in an old quarry just next to the ocean and Grötvik’s harbor. This serves as a great destination for a couple of hours.
BIKE
Bikes sure are a great way of getting around, aren’t they? We have a collaboration with RAW-Bikes here in Sweden that manufacture great, small electric bicycles. Use them for free as transportation to the kite spot or take them for a longer journey to experience the coastal road. Prins Bertils Stig is a well renowned 18 km trail near Halmstad that you can walk or bike and serves as a great daytrip.
PADEL
Do you prefer activities with a racket in your hand? Then you should try padel if you haven’t already. Padel is a racquet sport from Spain that has become immensely popular in Sweden and especially in Falkenberg and Halmstad. You can practice it outdoors or indoors and there is a wide range of facilities nearby, with one being only 10 min away (car). One little warning though, it’s highly addictive!
GOLF
Being out in nature for 5 hours with friends and family on a sunny day while swinging the clubs – count me in! In the area around Halmstad and Falkenberg you will find a staggering amount of golf courses at your disposal. No wonder Halmstad is called the golf capital of Sweden. Play at the king of courses – Halmstad Golf Club (Tylösand) with its dual park course layout, giving you a tour standard all the way from the parking lot to the last green.
